Brokenjoe at Mayday Malone's June 17th

Mayday`s is on Bloor at Dovercourt. I`ve played this gig with Jerome twice now and both times it was packed with people actually there to see a band. We played in the window so the smokers would still be able to hear and see us while huffing off. The staff are great and the room sounded just right. Hey i think I`ll buy shares in the joint. It`s on the subway line. Get off at Ossington and walk west two blocks. At the end of the night if you`re still lushing you`re right around the corner from the Matador. That should keep you going till 6 A.M. you sick bastard! …………………..Alec

    I caught the Broken Joe link off the email Alec sent on the Mapleblue Group list. I took a listen to the tracks, and I think what you guys are doing is awsome. Great feel. I can't get enough of that first track "Singing Steel Rails". I look forward to catching you guys live sometime. If I can swing it, I'll pop by Malone's (if I don't have a gig that night).Cheers boys,Arthur RenwickBy the way Alec, we met at your studio once. I came in for a 3 song demo Jani Lauzon recorded at your studio a few years back. Band members were Gary Taylor, Tom Griffiths, Rob Gusevs and John Tilden. I played some slide on one track using a Danelectro Resonator guitar (a friend built for me) powered through a Fender Reverb. Jani says Hi!

    Hey Arthur, as Frank Ifield once said "i remember you". Say hi back to Jani and tell her I have to give her the master tapes back from that session. Maybe we will see you at Maydays. Cheers……….Alec
